I love Lake Forest, and am excited to be our church’s first ever Executive Pastor. So you are probably asking, “What in the world does an Executive Pastor do?” I have two primary roles.Equipping and leading our Staff, Elders and Ministry Partner teams in our efforts to fulfill our mission of being “a church for those who have given up on church, but haven’t given up on God”.
Freeing up our lead pastor, Mike Moses, so that he can focus on doing what he does best, which is serving our body as a vision leader, preacher, and pastor.I believe God is doing great things in and through Lake Forest Church, and I am looking forward to serving our body and helping us become more effective in making more and better disciples of Jesus.
A quick resume for you. After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1990 with a degree in Biology, I spent the bulk of my career in the finance industry, first in banking, and most recently, as owner of a real estate finance company. In between my time as a banker and as a business owner, I spent 5 years on a church staff, serving first as a youth pastor, then as a community group pastor. For the past three years, I have served as a Ruling Elder at Lake Forest Church. In case you are taking notes, if you are looking for the right career path for becoming an Executive Pastor, this is definitely the way you should go!
On a personal note, I have been married to my amazing wife Holly for 17 years. We have four kids: Hollins (14), Will (11), Campbell (7), and Dillon (1), and two dogs, Raney and Java. We have lived in Davidson for almost 10 years.
