Vision & Strategic Direction Statement
If you call Lake Forest home, please save this pdf file and read it carefully. Please pass it on to the other adults in your home who call Lake Forest their church.
WARNING - this is not an easy read, or a fluffy little ‘aren’t we great’ document. Following Christ requires a lot of thought, and following him together requires even more unified thought. So please do the hard work of paying close attention to our common life through this document.
It represents our discernment of the way forward as a church, and a re-visioning of what is most core at Lake Forest, including your strategic role. Don’t forget, grace, grace, grace is the context, or else it will all end up being more about us than about God and the world God loves.
Also, please listen to the January 6 sermon online. It is foundational for the year ahead at Lake Forest.
Thank You,
Mike Moses
Lead Pastor

At Lake Forest, our desire is that every follower of Christ would:
- KNOW JESUS IS THE GOOD NEWS through the scriptures and in community
- GROW IN JESUS intellectually and introspectively
- SHOW JESUS as servants and salt
- GO IN JESUS as missionaries to our culture and to the world
