What is Studio 252?

Studio 252 is where kids and parents learn together about God’s Big Ideas (like “virtues” such as self- control, honesty, patience, and gratitude)! It is a monthly, 45-minute, fun, interactive, multi-media shared experience designed for your family.

It is an upbeat environment where learning about faith and character is fun and relevant! The shared experience can be a springboard for your family to continue talking about God’s Big Ideas throughout the week.

Studio 252 is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to LFC.

Why have a Studio 252 family experience?

Studio 252 exists to partner with parents - who are ultimately responsible for the spiritual development of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). We recognize that parents have a whole lot more time with their kids than anyone at church. In fact, each year kids spend about 3,000 hours with their parents versus the 40 or so that they will spend attending church on Sunday.

As a result, no one has more influence over a child than his or her parent. Because of this, we believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. So, we consider our role to be a partnership with parents by providing a plan that will give them the tools they need to lead their kids spiritually. This plan is launched at Studio 252 on the first Friday of the month. During the rest of the month, it continues with Hot Spot and Parent Take-Out.

Who can go to Studio 252?

Everyone can go to 252!! Studio 252 is specifically designed for elementary-age children AND their parents. However, the whole family can attend! Can my child go to Studio 252 without a parent?

A parent must accompany their child to Studio 252 each month. Hey, that’s the whole purpose!! Studio 252 is designed as a shared experience for families, so parent attendance is very important. You are encouraged to invite your friends … kids by themselves, or with their families. LFC parents can bring visiting children anytime! Or invite your friends and make a night of it!

What is a Parent Take-Out and how do I get one?

Parent Take-Out is a creative application tool designed to assist and equip your family apply the Big Idea in your home, all month long. During each program the Parent Take-Out is introduced and explained. Every family who comes to Studio 252 receives a Parent Take-Out.

If you are unable to attend Studio 252, you can get the Parent Take-Out on the second Sunday of the month at the Welcome Center, located in the lobby inside the children’s entrance.
