Five Things Every Kid Needs
1. A REALLY BIG GOD
We help kids discover who God is and what He has done so they learn to trust God no matter what happens. NOTHING is too big for God to handle.
2. SOMEONE ELSE who believes what they believe
Friends can influence the decisions kids make. In Hot Spot kids hang out in SMALL GROUPS asking questions about God, talking about their faith and building lasting friendships.
3. ANOTHER VOICE that says the same things parents say
Kids listen to voices other than their parents. We have small group leaders that consistently connect with kids and say the same things parents say while giving kids a safe place to talk about how they feel.
4. NOSEY PARENTS who make it their business to know where their kids are spiritually
Between Kindergarten and fifth grade kids spend about 264 hours in church. Parents have more than 2000 hours a YEAR with their kids. No one can have more influence on a child’s faith than the parent and what happens at home greatly impacts the heart of a child. Our 252 Family Service equips parents with tools to make family spiritual life a priority all week long.
5. UNCOMMON SENSE to help make wiser choices
In Hot Spot and 252 we make learning about the Bible EXCITING so kids learn one VIRTUE each week. As kids mature they face influences that challenge their potential to become who God created them to be. Teaching children God’s VIRTUES can help them navigate through life by the light of God’s truth and make smart decisions.
