Food Drive Second Harvest Food Drive
Sunday, December 7 at LFC
Hungry families often have to choose between food and rent. We can help change that. December 7 is the day to bring bags of much-needed food and personal items to LFC in support of Second Harvest Food Depository. Leave a bag of food behind your car before going into the service and a team of volunteers will collect it. Read more.

Men’s Event - At the Crossroads of Faith and Freedom

Men, please invite a friend and join us to hear from guest speaker, Lieutenant General William G. “Jerry” Boykin. Jerry retired last year after serving our country for 38 years. He is currently a Professor at Hampden-Sydney College, Virginia, and author of “Never Surrender: A Soldier’s Journey to the Crossroads of Faith and Freedom.”

Christmas in Huntersville
Saturday, December 13 in Downtown Huntersville
OK, so this isn’t at Lake Forest Church - BUT - LOTS of our church family will be there. Huntersville’s downtown will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland for this one evening. Come out to this community event and join in the festive celebrations. Our own Hip Hop dance team will perform at 5:30pm, Jingle Jam; the Children’s Ministry Christmas Rewind will go on at 6pm, and Kyle Dillard and the Church Band will take the main stage at 7pm.

Missio Dei Piedras Negras, Mexico Mission Trip
Sunday, December 14, 12pm at LFC
Join us December 14, @ 12pm in the East Barn Door Room to hear about the work of Constructores Para Cristo in Piedras Negras, Mexico. This is an opportunity to find out what the Piedras Negras Short-term Summer Mission is all about so that you can pray about possibly serving with an LFC.

Vocational Ministry Lunch
Next Meeting - Wednesday, December 17
Dr. Mike Moses will hold lunch discussions for people who are in vocational (full-time) ministry, or are considering ministry as a career (ministry = parachurch, social needs, counseling, church, etc). At each lunch, a different topic will be up for discussion (philosophy of ministry issues, spiritual health of the minister, etc.). Bring your own lunch and please rsvp to spowell@lakeforest.org . Feel free to bring a friend - non-LFC folks are welcome.
