A Note From Lead Pastor Mike Moses

At Lake Forest we welcome you to explore the meaning of life and the God who created all things. We work hard to foster a safe community for spiritual explorers and to be an encouraging partner for followers of Jesus Christ. For us, church is not a weekly gathering, a building or an institution. It is a living organism made up of people who are banded together on God’ mission of love in this world.

Lake Forest wants to be part of a fresh movement of the revolution that Jesus began and we are committed to the idea of both/and – refusing to box our worship, teaching and God himself into conventional either/or categories of culture and church. We are a blending of individuals, ideologies and backgrounds coming together as a Jesus Christ-centered community that strives to be:

Grace-centered
Growing spiritually by “doing life together”
Partnering with parents in the spiritual development of children and students
Joining God’s mission of love to the poor, the oppressed and the spiritually disconnected
Creative and Unconventional
A safe and compelling place for people who’ve given up on church but haven’t given up on God
