Local Outreach

What is Local Outreach?

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:16-18

God loves the poor, and invites us to love and serve them on His behalf. Our two major focal points in the Bible were the call to ‘act justly’ by the prophet Amos, and Jesus’ assertion that his followers will not only serve the hungry, homeless and sick (it’s just part of being in God’s family to act that way), but they will encounter and serve Jesus himself as they do so.

Local outreach organizations that are being served and led by Lake Forest Ministry Partners are listed to the right. Check out their stories!
