Ministry Description

Christmas Village Toy Store is a ministry to support families in need. This year, Lake Forest will be joining in this special Christmastime ministry with several churches from throughout the area. In November, Lake Forest will host a Christmas toy drive, collecting new toys for boys and girls who might otherwise not receive gifts this year. These toys will stock the shelves at the Christmas Village Toy Store — where invited parents will be able to purchase gifts at a discount, allowing them have their dignity affirmed in providing for their children. The funds the Store generates then get reinvested in at-risk communities.

This is the Gift-Giving Season (Really it is …)

Throughout October and into early November, the people of Lake Forest are encouraged to purchase gifts for the Christmas Village Toy Store.

Whether you’ve been hit hard by the economy or have been extremely fortunate this year, there are ways you can participate. You can choose to purchase gifts beyond your normal Christmas gift giving; consider altering how you give by redirecting some of your presents to these families in need or give the gift of your time.

We will have two gift drop-off dates:

Friday, November 6 at the 252 Family Service (7pm)
Sunday, November 8 at the Sunday Services (8am, 9:30am and 11am)

Please do not wrap the new toys you bring. The following Sunday, November 15, you’ll be able to help re-price, organize, pack and store the gifts to be delivered to the Store in mid-December.
