Ministry Description

Campus Outreach seeks to Glorify God by Building Laborers on the Campus for the Lost World. We desire to see the world impacted deeply through college graduates going into business, politics, education, service, ministry, etc., with a passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ and equipped to disciple others. To this end I get to engage in life-on-life evangelism and discipleship at Davidson College – helping students understand the invitation and command to have a life with God. As Campus Director at Davidson I also help shepherd and empower our student leaders for personal ministry, and oversee the development of events (retreats, speakers, conferences).

Bill’s Story

Baseball was my first true love growing up. To talk about love for God at the time would have seemed silly. Growing up in church, I assumed God was real and God’s laws were helpful signposts not to make bad decisions. This changed one summer in Mexico. On a mission trip with my youth group God revealed my need for a relationship with Him, and I began to find my greatest delight in knowing my Lord and serving others. As baseball tanked my senior year, doors were opened to attend Davidson College. Through the influence of staff and students in Campus Outreach I became rooted and established in my faith and gained a passion to help other students experience the love and truth of Jesus Christ. After graduating in 2007 I had the privilege to remain at Davidson and give myself to student ministry full-time. I have enjoyed it tremendously and am constantly made aware of my inescapable need for the grace of God.

Special Needs

One of our most significant means of ministry to students is hospitality…particularly food. We host bi-monthly dinners for about 75 students. We would love help with main courses, sides, and/or desserts.

Prayer Requests

Consistent intimacy with God. Confidence in His calling. That God would draw students to Himself. A deepening and expanding community of students passionate to reach the world for Christ.
