Ministry Description
Campus Outreach is a ministry to college students that seeks to Glorify God by Building Laborers on the Campus for the Lost World. Our vision is to reach people around the world by reaching today’s college students, equipping them to minister to others, and then sending them out after graduating to influence others for Christ. We recently began a new Campus Outreach region in Virginia and are currently ministering to students at Virginia Tech and Radford University. My specific role is to help resource and equip our campus staff as they minister to students on these campuses. This includes planning events, retreats, and conferences, managing finances, creating media tools such as fliers, brochures, and websites, helping to plan staff training, and other administrative work. I also enjoy spending time with college students and sharing the love of Christ with them.
Andrew’s Story
I saw the evidence of God through the lives of my family and friends from early childhood, and eventually began to follow Him in the fall of 1997 during my freshman year of college at UNC Charlotte. After giving my life to Jesus, I quickly began growing in my faith through Campus Outreach. As I followed Jesus he taught me how to fish for men and I knew that I wanted my career to involve fishing for men. I graduated in May 2002 with a degree in Public Relations, and moved to Davidson College to take on the campus director role. In the summer of 2006, I moved with my wife, Maria, and our daughter, Tera, to Blacksburg, VA to help launch Campus Outreach Virginia.
Special Needs
Our biggest need these days is your prayers. Please pray for our spiritual health and that God would continue to open doors for us to make him known in Lynchburg, at Virginia Tech, and at Radford University.
Prayer Requests
That Maria and I would meet with God every morning and seek our happiness in Him alone. That God would continue to use us to bring Virginian college students into a saving relationship with Him. That God would meet all of our financial needs. That our daughters would grow up to be women who follow God with all of their hearts and live their lives for the sake of other people.
