Ministry Description

Our ministry is to the share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the top 2% of the most influential people in the world. We work with specialized people groups to accomplish this task. We have found that our major access point to get with these people is through the tool of motorsport. Motorsport events provide opportunities for us to meet with celebrities, government leaders, and CEO’s of major corporations as they are involved in sponsorship of motorsport globally. We also work through sources/events to connect with the gate keepers of our world. Our primary countries of service are Australia, Western Europe, China.

Max’s Story

I was pastor of churches for the 26 year prior to getting into this type of ministry. Seven of those years was as a church planter with a mission agency serving in the Cayman Islands and Hawaii. For 14 years I served as chaplain to NASCAR. In 2002, I founded WorldSpan Ministries along with Daryl Barker, who serves as president. I serve as CEO of the organization. My wife, Jean, and I are ministry partners at Lake Forest Church.

Special Needs

Our special needs are funding for operations and the need for an administrative assistant.

Prayer Requests

This is our first year working with the V8 Supercar series in Australia. We have hired a couple, Brian and Christine Ravenscroft (Australians) to serve this series. As normal, we are faced with overcoming many obstacles in an upstart work. Pray for the development of our ministry there as we need a secure location to house the drivers/owners children for programs on each Saturday and Sunday on race weekends. We need the full support of the racing officials (sanctioning body) for securing locations etc. They do want us there but are slow to move on provisions that we need. Funding for our budget. We are operating at about one half the needed amount. We need $300,000 annually. For travel safety as we visit and minister in 5 to 10 countries a year.
