RE: The hearts and hands of substitute teachers
While it is still fresh in my mind, I wanted to share the after effects of my son from Sunday’s ministry:
What totally got my attention is you guys were short handed and he had a substitute teacher. After church I took the kids to the pool and while playing around things got a little out of hand and I had to remind my middle child to remember the rules of the water. She immediately went into pouting and sulking. I was trying to come up with what to say next when her brother said “Do you believe in God?” She responded “yes,” and he next continued to recite word for word “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
Okay now I am sitting with my mouth dropped open because he also said where the verse came from, not completely correct but he did get 3:16 right! Now its kind of hard for my daughter to sulk when her brother is telling her God loves you no matter what!
Wow, I thank the teacher he had for filling in that morning. If they were nervous in any way it looks as though God guided them through a perfect delivery of a message.
