Our heart is to move ministry partners of Lake Forest into missionaries of God’s love to their culture, and to cultures around the world. To accomplish this, we seek tangible ways to express our witness of God’s love, grace, and mercy to places where spiritual and physical brokenness, poverty, and injustice exist. We believe the fullest and most obedient expression of joining missio Dei (mission of God) is by serving both locally and cross-culturally.

The missions team has prayerfully selected these short-term trips. The safety and security of the team members has been considered with a great deal of importance. Because ministries that we partner with (The Pittsburgh Project, The Wade Center, Children’s International Network, to name a few) have successfully completed a number of trips with us and other churches, and because the security and safety issues are minimal, we feel these trips can be accomplished.

“Going on a short-term cross-cultural mission trip normally results in shifting a person’s spiritual growth into hyper-speed. It’s like spiritual growth on steroids, except in a good way. My goal is for every LFC Ministry Partner to eventually have this experience.”
~ Pastor Mike Moses
