Ministry Description

The Well of Change “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” Eph.3:21 We are a small group of seven that have a desire for short missions. It is God’s calling on our lives that is now sending us to Africa. We are partnering with Mission One in ministry, as ambassadors for Lake Forest Church. Mission ONE is focused primarily on planting churches among unreached peoples, those who have little or no access to hearing the gospel of Christ. Most of the national missionaries supported by Mission ONE are laboring among Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or animistic people. More than 80% of the national missionaries supported by Mission ONE live in the “10-40 Window”, where the vast majority of unreached peoples live.

Kathy’s Story

Jambo! (Swahili for Hello)! God has really blessed our small group with the opportunity to go and serve in Africa this summer. Each member has a special spiritual gift that we desire to share with others. Not knowing I would ever have the honor of serving God in Africa, it is by faith we asked and it is by faith we go. God placed Africa in heart over two years ago, here i am now on my way. One of my team members and I met for dinner one evening and during the course of our conversation we found out we both had the same desire for Africa. We prayed that night that God would open a door for us so we could fulfill His purpose for going and as you can see two years later God opened the door. Special Needs

In order to support our ministry goals to Africa, our team needs to raise $35,000. This money will cover the cost of the new well for the orphanage and the round-trip flight from Nairobi to a dirt airstrip in Northern Kenya to reach the Sumburu tribe. We also will help complete a girls dormitory while at the orphanage that houses 10 girls that are now sleep in a round cow-dung hut that is very small. We hope you will partner with us and Mission One Ministry as we travel to Africa to spread God’s word. Thank you

Prayer Requests

We ask that you partner with us through prayer in hope that the harvest of funds will be over the top, so that our small group can give much to those who have so little. We ask for prayer over each member and for God’s hedge of protection around us as we go, we ask for good health and safe travels to and from our mission. Thank you!
